It's One Way To Cool Down!

It's too hot to live, so I went to the lake to catch the breeze.

This kid is insane. It's a pretty far drop and the waves weren't tiny. His lips were blue and he was shivering. But he was more than happy to jump for my camera.

And he wasn't sweating to death. :)

Glad he was ok. That does look like a long drop. The only time I went out of the air conditioned apartment today was to take out the trash. I'm glad it's supposed to start cooling off a little bit. I feel like I'm living in southern Virginia again. :/

You're doublepluscool, Shai. :)

It's not so hot today, which is good. I bet those nutbar kids are still jumping off the peir though. Some of them were doing flip and even diving!

I remember when I used to be that brave.

I think the last brave thing I did was climb a stupid washout at the Niagara gorge in sandals. Ok, maybe that was stupid, not brave. Hehehe, though one time, in proper footgear, I had forgotten something down the bottom of the Gorge and wanted to go back for it. I like to leave only footprints. :)

Shoe was dying from the climb back up and did't want to go back and I said I'd go myself. He said no, it's not safe to be doing that yourself, but I'm in way better shape than he is and I said, if you can stop me, go for it, and ran off.

I wasn't even sure if I knew the way to where we'd been, the trails there are pretty strange, but about five minutes into the run, after all the climbing I hit the wall and it was probably one of the best experiences in my life. I was running and actually laughing. And it is probably one of the most beautiful places on earth. So I found the stuff, and started to run back, but I took a different path. I totally had to force myself to stop and look for the right path. :) Hehehe. So I found it and took off again and what do I see, standing on a big rock holding my purse but a very angry Shoelimpy.

Hehehe. :D That has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but it's my blog so, yeah. :)

Oh, hehehe, this is funny! There are very scary stairs down to the the first part of the gorge. They are metal grid type stairs that turn in a square around and around. :)

Firemen run up and down these stairs carrying firehoses, to show off how cool and in shape they are.

So that same day, as we were walking back to the stairs and I was being lectured ;), Shoe says, we're gonna rest before we go up the stairs, right? I said, yep. But when we got there, the firemen were doing their thing, and they stopped for us, as soon as we got there, so we could climb the stairs. :)

Hahahahaha. You should have seen Shoe's face, it was priceless. :)
