Off Center Hugeness

I would probably get lost trying to find the elevator.

I can totally see the whole thing imploding right now. All of the residents finding new homes in all of the surrounding neighborhoods. CAn you imagine living there? The whole thing looks a bit wavey to me. Its kind of making me sea sick.

That's why I never want to go to New York City.

I think I speak for everyone in New York City when I say, "Thank you, shoelimpy."

I went to www.urbandictionary.com and couldn't find "crack stacks" to give you a proper definition, so I submitted it. Hopefully it will be approved after review and I will be famous.

I hope they credit you with it Shai. It's very funny. :)

Sorry, Allie. I forgot you were from there. :(

I'm sure it's not as scary once you're used to it. It's too big for me though.

How long have you lived there?

I have lived here for 5 years. I have lived in FL, in VA, in NV, in CA, in CO, but the friendliest people in the world are in NYC. You can strike up conversations with complete strangers on the street. Strangers help moms carry baby carriages up subway stairs. I remember my first summer here when I saw a man carrying wall panelling down the stairs at a subway in Sunnyside. At the bottom, he handed it to another guy who said, "Thank you." The man said "No problem," and went off the opposite way.

That happens all the time.

I know that this thread is dead, but it occures to me that that's the difference between cons and libs. I really don't feel scared of very much.

New Yorkers aren't afraid, even though 9/11 actually happened here. We ride the subways and go in tall buildings. And vote against Bush.

LOL. I'm more scared of getting lost in the miles of concrete and of the buildings towering over me.

But that's quite a sweeping statement you've made, Allie. I don't feel "fear" of living with the people in NYC, and I don't fear the hugeness of the artificial surroundings because I'm a Republican. I mean, where's Wall Street???

And there are no "dead threads" here.

I'm glad you like living there, personally, as a person who has her own likes and dislikes that have nothing to do with political party affiliations, it's too big for me.

I do love The West Side Story, though.

A boy like that, who killed your brother, forget that boy and find another, one of your own kind, stick to your own kind.......

No, Annie, I don't think you're scared because you are a Republican, I think that you're a Republican (really, more a social conservative since I think libertarians are misguided, but pretty fearless).

I think you're a social conservative Republican because you're often scared.

LOL, scared of what?
Is this picture from NYC or somewhere else?

It's from NYC, taken while driving through. It's not a great shot cuz I was shaking in fear.
