Beam Me Up, Scotty!

The beams are leveller! They're never going to be perfectly level, this house is 140 years old, but it's leveller!! They aren't finished yet but I can already see the difference. :) Praise Jesus!!!

Newsflash: It's finished and ready for the plumber to come and do his thing. It's possible that I may have have a few drinks with the dude to celebrate, as a case of beer was part of the payment. Not that I drank beer, I drank Mott's Caesar thingies. They're goooooood and a full serving of vegetables!!!!!!!!!

Why eat when you can drink your meals? Maybe you should ask him to stay for more than a beer. What's he look like?

He looks old and married. :)

Darn :(
I know a single guy, in his thirties. He's a hermit, lives in a shack in the woods. His rich parents pay for everything for him, so he doesn't work or anything. He's dirty and never cuts his hair or his beard. And he plays video games all day. He's sort of like a cross between Rip Van Winkle and the uni-bomber. You wouldn't be interested? ;)

Hehehehehe. That = Shoelimpy!!! Except for the shack in the woods. ;D

Well and the age. But the rest is dead on. Hehehehe. ;)

HA! No way? I've been friends with this guy since college. He never graduated and still lives in the same place doing the same things he did almost 10 years ago. So sad. The world is passing him by and he don't even know it.

There are people in this town who have never left the area, and who never will, ever. They've never even been to the closest big city and have no desire to go there, even to shop!!!

That's scary.

Yikes! You got to get out and see the world once in awhile. I am so glad I decided to travel across the country in a Uhaul when I moved out West. I could have taken a place or whatever, but driving out there with my husband really brought us together as a couple, I think. We had the greatest times on the road! I can't wait until my sandtrout grows up (well, I can wait because he grows up too fast, but you know what I mean) and we can take him across the country. This time I think I will take my car though, not the uhaul. :)
I should take my mom too because she complains that dad doesn't take her enough places.

(((((ANNIE)))))
It's so boring on the internet without you. :(
I hope you're having fun, whatever you're doing.

Hi Shai! I've been getting stuff done that should have been done long ago. I actually have been doing most of the stuff myself. :) Right now, I actually need a shower pretty bad, I just laid a path of patio stones all by myself! Yesterday I ripped all the old wood off the window that looks out on the patio and put new wood on all by myself except I screwed up the cut on the sill and so I got someone to do that for me, I can't afford to waste too much wood. ;)

The plumber actually came and did a great job. :) I can turn my water off now. :) Can you believe I didn't have that power before?? Stupid old houses. :)

The floor *should* be laid in there tomorrow and if God is in a good mood, the walls can be framed, insulated and in the best of all possible scenerios, drywalled. (although it could end up with nothing done, in which case I'll cry )

It's so bizzin hot outside that I almost passed out. :) My grandmother would be shocked, I sweated like a man today, TWO men. ;)

What's new with you?

Wow! You have been busy. Sounds life fun! I can't believe you laid all the padio stone by yourself. That's cool!
I've been doing great! I got a job as a photographer at a studio here. I start Monday. I'm so nervous because I never had a real job before. But I'm sohappy because it's doing something I love. I wasn't sure if I would get the position because I have no work experience except babysitting. But when I showed her my portfolio she hired me on the spot. Isn't that awesome? :)
AnnieAngel said…
Of course she hired you on the spot, you're a great photographer. :) I think I've told you that. :) I hope you like working, if not, quit and make Hubby get another job. ;)

I did it all by myself, I'll put up a pic so you can see how truly well I did. :)

I hope I like working too. My husband is not allowed to work again because of his disability, but the military takes great care of us. :)
I can't wait to see your padio!

He's not allowed to work????

I put up a pic. :)

His psychologist doesn't think it's a good idea. Plus he falls down a lot when he stands too long, and he can't sit too long either. He makes a good house wife, plus he already gets a nice retirement pension.

He must get bored. :( Does he have hobbies?
