Pretty Kitty

My pretty kitty passed away today. She fought so hard, I truly am amazed, but she just couldn't fight anymore. She was a very sweet kitty, she loved Shoe the best, he was her favorite human in the world. She passed away beside him, and I think she was comforted by that.
I don't know what else to say. I loved her very much.

Annie, I could tell you 'sort of' were becoming attached to the kitten, despite what you were writing in your posts. I'm sure you are saddened by the loss of your tiny new friend who trusted you during it's time here.

It was a wonderful gift from the kitten to you, and you helped eachother for a moment.

I think life is all about trust.

It wasn't the kitten, Jannx. The kitten will most likely never see out of her right eye again, though. I have to take her back to the vet tomorrow.

My pretty kitty was an old woman, at least ten, most likely older. I got her 5 years ago when a lady on a farm near here died, she had like 60 cats. She was the lady's favorite cat.

She had one tooth left when I got her, and she ended up losing that. The vet said that she had lung cancer, On Good Friday a tumor burst, and I took her to the vet said he said she had only a few hours. He wanted to put her down, he said. He also said he couldn't say how long she had truthfully cuz he didn't want to play God. That doesn't make much sense to me.

He said she wasn't in pain, and he gave her a cortizone shot. I told him I wanted to take her home and he said I wasn't being cruel to her by doing so, that she wasn't in pain at all.

So I took her home expecting her to die in a few hours. But she wasn't ready. Shoe was on his way here, I didn't tell him what was going on with the cat because he loved her so much, but the next day came and so did Shoe and she was still eating and purring, but she couldn't breathe very well.

On Tuesday, I took her back for another one of those groovy shots, and the vet was in shock to see her. She fought so hard, but by Thursday night she couldn't even drink, and she passed on Friday morning.

I miss her very much, it was very hard to not be able to do anything to make her better.
